The play introduces us to Kerris, a Scottish researcher with a dual agenda. While her official mission revolves around studying the archaeological record of plant life, her curiosity extends to the religious practices of the islanders. What I find intriguing is the character's backstory, which hints at a personal connection to charismatic religious leaders.
